Rallying for Richard: A Family’s Call for Healing
Donation protected
Late Saturday night, Richard was shot while celebrating at the Las Olas Beach Parking Garage in Fort Lauderdale. He is now in the hospital in critical condition, fighting for his life. Since receiving that call, our lives have been turned upside down. He’s already undergone multiple surgeries, with more ahead, and he will need extensive physical therapy and long-term care as part of his recovery.
Richard is a vibrant, funny, and deeply loved person who didn’t deserve this senseless act of violence. He was simply out enjoying life, celebrating with friends, when this tragedy occurred. Now, instead of planning his summer, we are praying he pulls through and that his body can heal from this trauma.
The emotional toll has been overwhelming and so has the financial one. Emergency surgeries, ICU stays, rehabilitation, medications, and aftercare are incredibly expensive. On top of that, our family is managing time off work, travel, and the daily emotional weight of supporting him through this nightmare.
We are asking for help from our community from those who love him, know him, or simply want to support someone in need. Every donation will go directly to his medical expenses, recovery needs, and helping us stay by his side through it all.
If you can’t donate, we understand please share this link, keep him in your prayers, and send us strength. We’re taking this day by day, moment by moment, and believing in his healing.
With gratitude,
