Help Odesa Jewish Families in Need

We are currently raising funds to organize our annual Jewish Family Retreat, primarily for women and children, to help ease the mental strain they’ve been living under. We hope to run the Retreat outside of the active war zone in Western Ukraine, where it is much safer than in Odesa, Ukraine.

We are planning to host 80 to 120 people, offering workshops focused on mental health, healing, and emotional recovery. This is a very important project aimed at supporting families who are living under constant stress and trauma due to the war in Ukraine. Many Jewish men are in the Ukrainian army now defending their families, which intensifies the stress.

Migdal International Society, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) company, organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes as specified in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Migdal International Society, Inc. was incorporated in New York, USA in 2007 and received its 501(c)(3) status in 2009. Migdal International Society, Inc. currently provides support to the Migdal International Center for Jewish Community Programs in Odesa, Ukraine.

The mission of Migdal is fulfillment and protection of the social, economic, and cultural interests of the Jews of Odesa through the development of each human as a person of the highest values by increasing the educational and intellectual level, creativity and cultural potential of our people. Migdal’s services include an early childhood development center Mazl Tov, Jewish educational programs for all ages, Jewish Museum of Odesa Shorashim, Active Jewish Parents Club, Active Jewish Teens Club, Junior Clubs for school-age children, Volunteer Center, Help Center Netzah for Jewish refugees, day camps for children, family camps, shabbatons, Jewish holidays and festivals, care for older adults and Holocaust survivors, and other programs.

Our main goal is generating innovative ideas for new programs and improving our existing programs, which benefits all participants. We have 33 years of experience in Jewish community work and serve diverse segments of the population of all ages.
