Help a First-Time Mom Recover from a Devastating Car Loss
Donation protected
I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit. I'm a first-time mom, and recently, a severe storm turned our lives upside down. A tree fell and totaled my car — a vehicle that had become a lifeline for me and my baby boy, Quest. Having reliable transportation made a world of difference for our quality of life, and now, without it, we're struggling with everyday essentials — getting to doctor’s appointments, daycare, work, and even just grabbing groceries.
The car was still being financed, and unfortunately, I didn’t have gap insurance — something I now realize was a big mistake. The insurance company valued the car at $14,745.44, but the loan payoff amount is $15,908.64 leaving me with a remaining balance of $1,163.20. I currently have a rental car, but it’s only available until May 27th. After that, Quest and I will be completely without a vehicle.
I’m asking for help to raise the $1,163.20 needed to pay off the rest of the loan so I can move forward and start working toward getting a new car. Any additional funds raised will go toward a down payment on a new vehicle, which is absolutely essential for keeping up with work and caring for Quest.
I’m starting this fundraiser with a goal of $900 to begin working toward the full amount needed. Any additional money I receive over my goal of $1,163.20 I will use for a down payment on a new car. Any help you can give — whether it’s a donation or a share — will bring us one step closer to resolving this and getting back on the road.
If you’re able to donate — even a small amount — it would mean everything to us. And if you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.
Thank you so much for your support, your kindness, and for helping us get back on the road.
