On April 12th while playing with his brother my nephew 6.5 years old Mahrush, the healthy and happiest child of the family felt numbness on left hand and had facial drooping on left side of his face. His parents immediately rushed him to the ER and later on he is diagnosed with a very rare disease Moyamoya. This is a rare condition in which the blood vessels (internal carotid arteries) that supply blood to the brain become narrowed. This limits the flow of blood to the brain, and puts them at risk for stroke.

And that day while playing he got a recurrent transient ischemic attacks (TIA, commonly referred to as “mini-strokes”), which are frequently accompanied by muscular weakness or paralysis affecting one side of the body, or seizures.

Knowing this the whole world of my brother's family and us shattered suddenly. In Bangladesh the Surgery and rehabilitation  of Moyamoya disease is not so well facilitated and doctors suggested to take him abroad.

Mahrush needs the surgery  immediately to prevent a massive stroke and become disable for the lifetime. During the 2nd surge of Covid Bangladesh is in lockdown having limited international flights. However, we are trying our best to give him the treatment which needs to be started soon. Having a surgery and rehabilitation procedure (prefferably in Singapore or Bangkok) needs an amount of money which is currently not affordable for our whole family and thus here we are to seek all of your help and prayers!

Since Moyamoya is a curable disease and with proper care and treatment Mahrush can lead a healthy life again like his only brother and friends, please help our little gem to grow and contribute towards a better world with his sheer brilliance.

May be It's a small amount for you but can make a big difference to bear the cost of his travel, medical bill and rehabilitation.
