Help MIT–Epstein Whistleblower Fight Back:
#HelpMITWhistlebower
One scientist exposed fraud, toxic dumping, and Epstein’s ties at MIT. Now the university is trying to bury him in court.
MIT’s "Food Computer ” was promoted as a world-changing breakthrough, a flagship of the MIT Media Lab, used to raise millions and anchor the university’s $6 billion campaign.
Behind the scenes, it was a staged demo, a Theranos-style fraud designed to dazzle donors, government officials, journalists, and the public.
At the same time:
- MIT accepted donations tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
- The project dumped wastewater allegedly 1,000× above legal nitrogen/nitrate limits, linked to “blue baby syndrome” and other health risks.
- Schoolchildren, Syrian refugees, and even celebrities were used as showcases to sell the fraud.
When Dr. Babak Babakinejad, MIT Research Scientist and lead on the project, reported these fabricated demonstrations, toxic dumping, and fraudulent fundraising, including written warnings to MIT’s Office of General Counsel, MIT retaliated by firing him.
He has spent more than four years in a legal battle against one of the wealthiest and most politically connected universities in the world. Now the case has reached its most critical stage.
Why This Case Matters:
This is not just about one project. It is about:
- Fraudulent fundraising: staged demos and false claims misled donors.
- Toxic discharges: 1,000x legal limits, endangering infants and communities.
- Exploitation: children, refugees, and public figures used to legitimise a scam.
- Epstein’s influence: MIT solicited and accepted funds from him despite his criminal record.
- Retaliation: whistleblowers silenced instead of protected.
If MIT, with its wealth and influence, can conceal fraud, environmental abuse, and ties to Epstein without consequence, public trust in science is at risk everywhere.
Who is Dr. Babakinejad?
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience & Nanotechnology (Imperial College London).
- Master’s in Neuroscience and Bachelor’s in Molecular Genetics (King’s College London).
- Whistleblower disclosures independently corroborated by The New York Times, ProPublica, IEEE Spectrum, Chronicle of Higher Education, Boston Business Journal, and more.
- Speaker at National Whistleblower Day (Capitol Hill), National Association of Science Writers, and international conferences.
His warnings were later vindicated:
- TED Talk withdrawn (Chronicle of Higher Education).
- Peer-reviewed paper retracted (Times Higher Education).
- Project shut down and fined for illegal discharges (IEEE Spectrum, Boston Business Journal).
- MIT confirmed Epstein ties during the same period.
Urgency:
The lawsuit is now in discovery and depositions, the most the most resource-intensive stage of litigation. The Massachusetts Court, has given until October 12, to complete this phase.
Without immediate legal representation, the imbalance against MIT will be overwhelming. This is the decisive moment: either accountability, or cover-up.
Where Funds Go:
All funds go directly under Dr. Babakinejad's control to cover:
- Legal representation & litigation costs
- Expert analysis & depositions
- Document management & evidence publication
- Investigative support
This campaign is rooted in verified reporting and official documents. It is not only about one scientist’s fight, it is about exposing fraud, toxic dumping, Epstein’s influence, and retaliation against whistleblowers at one of the world’s most powerful universities.
