Important Note:
The beneficiary name on the GoFundMe is Sameer Abu Arab because funds cannot be transferred directly into Gaza. We chose a trusted family member who lives in a country where donations can be received legally. He then transfers the funds to us through Bank of Palestine. Sameer is my husband’s uncle, and his only role is to help us safely receive your support.

Our Story
My name is Hala, from Gaza City. I am a mother to a four-year-old girl and currently expecting another baby. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, and my husband, Abdelkareem, is a Mechatronics engineer.
Since the war began, our home and workplace were completely destroyed, and we were forced to flee and live in a shelter under harsh conditions. The situation also caused my husband to be separated from his family in another area of Gaza due to ongoing movement restrictions.
We are currently trying to secure basic necessities such as food, clean water, and medical care, while preparing to welcome a newborn during these challenging circumstances.
Why We Started This GoFundMe
Your donations will help us cover essential needs, including:
Securing safe and stable housing after losing our home.
Contributing to the reconstruction of what was destroyed.
Covering daily essentials: food, water, clothing, and medical care.
Supporting me through childbirth and caring for my daughter and new baby.
Helping us search for new job opportunities and regain stability.
Covering travel expenses if the Rafah Crossing opens, so we can relocate to a safe place, provide a dignified life for our children, and look for housing and work opportunities outside Gaza.
Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference.
Thank You
Despite everything we’ve been through, we are determined to rebuild our lives with dignity and hope. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read our story and extend support—your help truly means a lot to us.
With gratitude,
Hala
