Korben is the kind of person who lives by his values—kind, hard-working, loyal, and always there for others. He gives selflessly, never expecting anything in return, and his generosity has touched countless lives. But now, after a series of unimaginable tragedies, Korben is the one in need of help.
While Korben was away at work, a house fire took the life of his beloved grandmother. His dog and mother passed away days later from injuries sustained, and the stress of it all claimed his father a few months after. In just over a year, Korben lost his home and his entire family. He used his life savings to pay for the funerals, went into debt to cover the rest, and sold most of his belongings—those that weren’t lost in the fire. Despite everything, Korben never stopped giving to others, even when he had nothing left for himself.
Hoping to heal, Korben moved from the east coast to California at his godfather’s urging, only to lose his godfather to a sudden illness a few months later. With nowhere to turn, Korben was left homeless by his godfather’s family and is now stranded in California, far from home and support. He’s picking up odd jobs where he can, but it’s not enough to get back on his feet. Korben would never ask for help himself, he is not one for a handout and is picking up any odd jobs he can find but I know he needs help now more than ever.
I’m raising funds to help Korben buy back some of the tools he lost that are needed to be the tradesman that he is, cover travel expenses to return home or go where his heart leads and, if possible, to afford a reliable vehicle. This would give him the freedom to rebuild his life and regain his independence. Any additional support will help him pay off the debts from the funerals and start fresh. Korben has always stretched every dollar to help others—now it’s our turn to help him. Please consider supporting this fundraiser and giving Korben the chance to find hope and happiness again. Either way thank you for your time. Have a blessed day
