Hey everyone,
About me: I’m Keina but most people call me Kiki, I’m a 37 years old woman with cerebral palsy ( it affected my speech and left side of my body ), also have partial seizures. I’m originally from Georgia, but I’m living in North Carolina. I have 3 cats that i rescued. I’m in needed of help to get a forever home!

My story: I’m living with an older man who is 70 and won’t be here forever. He is my friend. I have been living here since 2020. This living situation supposed to be a short term solution at the time but it didn’t happen. I was try to find a home to buy or rent that I can move into during living here, but everything that I looked into. It became to be a failure for me due the requirements, not being available, was not eligible for it. I have tried to get government housing and other assistance and it is same result ( a failure ) as well. Their programs are not available for people like me, and the housing programs waiting list are NOT open of today’s date Oct. 7th 2024. Won’t be available or open again til 3-10 years from now. I don’t have much time left to just wait for it.
About my living situation - it is a very difficult living in this town, it is a small town and there are few opportunities here for me. I'm stressed all the time about my life, my future and my security. I have little hope here that I can do much to change my life. It’s damaging my mental health, increasing my stress levels, also my physical abilities/health. Also this location is not helping me by getting around on my own. I don’t have a car so I need transportation to get to places.
About my financial situation- I’m on SSI ( only around $900 mo. ) and I don’t work. My money is not enough to survive even being able to afford buying or rent any kind of housing. I’m struggling financially to be able to afford a house that i can have a roof over my head without being worried about being homeless again or being in a worse situation in future days, weeks, months, years.
I’m trying to move by next year of July of 2025.

- Be able to buy my first forever home or a land and a short/long term temporary home as camper/mobile home ( til i can build my own home on the property )
- Be able to move to better location with places in walking distance or nearby transportation
- Be able to get better opportunities /abilities to move forward in my life as get goals done also able to get chance to get job/to work at home to be able to survive better on my own ( nobody would be here forever-no help from anybody )
- Keep me from being homeless once again and keep my cats from being taken away by me for being homeless
- If there’s extra money left, i can use it for getting a service dog for my seizures, stress, frustration, anxiety also being my emotional support dog, guard dog, a helper for doing things for me as holding items, opening doors, turning lights on/off when I’m carrying items, also keep me from falling when I’m about to have seizures or during the seizures at night during sleep and during the day at home or public places as like holding me up. I do fall off the bed sometimes at night. I need a bigger size dog for that! As like Great Dane, pitbull/cane corso, mastiff.
