Jonesy is a rescue cat. He was living outdoors for 7 years. The people that lived around him hurt him, cut him, beat him, and set out poison to kill him. A friend of mine after a year or so finally got ahold of him after feeding him for months. He was then given to my boyfriend and I. Jonesy was scared to even look at us. He was petrified. He didn’t eat for the first two weeks we had him. He finally started to come out of his shell and now he snuggles and will give you a kiss if you ask! He started having skin problems about two weeks into having him. I’ve put +1000 into him trying to get it figured out and buying his medications and special diet. He has severe allergies. He scratches so much he rips his own skin off and bleeds. I got him to heal up almost completely then the vet told me to reduce his medicine, so I did and he started scratching again. We put him back to his regular dose but he isn’t getting better. He is now breaking out on his chin, mouth, ears, chest, shoulders, and the most worrying to me; his eyes. I’ve asked the vet to help him I graduated college this year and I’m applying to jobs non-stop I have a little bit of money from babysitting. My boyfriend can’t pay for rent, bills, and jonesy’s medical bills. Our vet doesn’t care. In fact they won’t help him at all anymore they stopped caring because I am low on money and want the cheapest options. I want to switch vets I know a great one that’s willing to help him and can get him better! But the problem is the money. Jonesy would be a “new patient” and would need to get a new patient exam which costs more as vets like to do their own tests. That with his medicine and his special food I’m having a horribly hard time affording to take care of him until I’m fI nancially stable. 

Jonesy has had it rough and deserves the best life possible. Everyone he knows has abandoned him except for us. I can’t give up on him when he wants to live.
