Hi, My name is Joey,

A lot has changed since I began this "campaign".

David and I are reaching out for help as we're facing the most challenging time of our lives. Having recently been diagnosed with stage 3+ lung Cancer, my second time with Lung Cancer.

The toll of Medical related expenses, combined with unforeseen Home expenses, quickly became overwhelming.

David's health has also worsened, he developed a Seizure Disorder and Pancreatitis. Due to the seizures, his drivers license was revoked. This has created even more unexpected expenses.

On top of fighting for our health, we are also facing the loss of our home, as we've have fallen deeply behind on bills.

Due to a wind storm last year, our roof was damaged. A small leak in the bedroom ceiling quickly became a collapsed ceiling, destroying everything in the room. The bedroom furniture, all of the clothes inside, everything, ruined.

When we went through our Homeowner's insurance, we ran into road-blocks. With a one thousand dollar deductible, all that was able to be done was barely "clean up".

As a result, we began to fall behind on our Mortgage. One month behind became two, then three, and so on.

Then came foreclosure warnings. No longer would they accept our monthly payment, instead a past due in full that has since grown to approximately seven thousand dollars, is being demanded by the Mortgage broker, Fannie Mae, via Rocket Mortgage.

The stress and uncertainty of this entire situation is taking a heavy toll, making it even harder to focus on my own battle(s).

I also have two rather rare diseases; RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, and AVN, Avascular Necrosis, for the past 25+ years. Despite always trying to be a "fighter", I feel like I'm drowning with the recent battles WE are both dealing with.

The funds we are trying to raise through this campaign will go directly toward securing a new place to call home. Any and all support we receive will help relieve some of the financial burden, allowing us to concentrate on my Cancer diagnosis, and now, even more that has since piled on top.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in our lives and help us regain some stability during this difficult time.
