Hello, my name is James Randle, and I’ve spent the last 20 years trying to survive one battle after another. When I was just 32, I suffered two life-altering strokes. Since then, I’ve lost vision in my left eye due to glaucoma, developed severe diabetes, and have been confined to a wheelchair because of recurring osteomyelitis, a painful bone infection. Doctors have pushed for leg amputation, but I’ve refused. I still believe there’s hope for healing and a better life.
Today, I’m living in a nursing home — not because I want to, but because I don’t have the means to live anywhere else. This nursing home has been abusive, neglectful, and harmful to my health. I’m served food that worsens my diabetes and I receive little to no proper medical care. It’s not a place for healing, it’s a place where people are slowly forgotten.
My dream is to move into assisted living, where I can get real care, be treated with dignity, and where I can live with peace instead of fear. Assisted living would give me a safe and clean space, daily support, medical treatment, and a chance to manage my health instead of watching it spiral.
But assisted living costs $3,000 per month, and my insurance doesn’t come close to covering it.
My Overall Goal: $36,000
With your help, I’m hoping to raise enough to cover:
- One year of assisted living
- Medical supplies and medications
- Daily living essentials and safe housing
How You Can Help
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading my story.
If you can donate, no matter the amount, I’m truly grateful.
If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser — that alone can make a world of difference.
Thank You
Your support means more than I can express. With your help, I believe I can finally leave behind years of neglect and move toward a life of dignity, health, and hope.
