Support Dedicated Educator's Road to Recovery
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community Leaders-
I am reaching out to you today on behalf of Derrick, a dedicated educator, loving father, supportive husband, and resident of Jackson, Mississippi. Derrick recently endured a severe car accident that has permanently altered his life. Police pursued a murder suspect who exceeded speeds of 100 plus miles per hour, and then crashed into Derrick breaking Derrick's arm and shattering his pelvis. Derrick spent 4 days in ICU and an additional 5 days admitted to the hospital.
Derrick is a familiar face to many, and a friend to all. His contributions to the world of education are countless, and he is always willing to help others.
Our Family Needs Your Help-
The road to recovery will be long and challenging. Rehabilitation costs, hospital bills, wheelchair modifications, and loss of income pose a significant financial burden on our family. We love God and we know how to embrace change, and we recognize that this change is major. Despite the overwhelming challenges ahead, Derrick is determined to do what he can to return to his communal roles. It will take all of us to see him through to that end.
How You Can Make a Difference -
We have to raise at least $25,000 to help tackle some of the costs of Derrick's medical treatment, rehabilitation, and associated expenses. Your generous donations will directly contribute to:
- Intensive physical therapy sessions
- Necessary medical equipment
- Transportation for medical appointments
- Facilitated care and assistance for his family during this difficult time
Join Us in Supporting Derrick-
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous impact on Derrick's recovery journey. Together, we can help him regain his strength and return to the community he loves and has served so faithfully.
Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks to spread the word. Your support, prayers, and generosity are deeply appreciated.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Qiana Chapman
