Help Me Keep Fiction Kitchen's Doors Open and Our Team Together

I’m starting this fundraiser for the people who make FK what it is: our team
For more than 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of building Fiction Kitchen into something I’m incredibly proud of—not just a restaurant, but a gathering place and a home for Raleigh’s foodies, vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based community.

Right now, we’re going through a very difficult financial season. A recent business move, a slower economy, and the weight of several loans have made it increasingly difficult to keep up with payroll. Our team is already lean, and I’m doing everything I can to avoid layoffs and keep our team working.

This fundraiser is about giving us some breathing room.

Funds raised will go directly toward payroll while I work with our lawyers and bookkeeper to get the loan payments under control and create a more stable path forward for FK.

If you’re able to contribute, thank you. Every amount helps. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser is incredibly valuable too. We also invite you to come be our guest and encourage you to come try our new lunches on Fridays and Saturdays. We also have added a pizza option on Wednesday and Thursdays.

After 13 years, I’ve learned that small businesses don’t always survive on their own. They survive because of the people who believe in them.

Thank you for believing in FK, and for believing in our team.

Love, Caroline
