Help Our Friends FC and MA to Meet Basic Needs!

No Borders Manchester is urgently raising money to support our friends FC and MA with basic necessities. They are at risk of imminent street homelessness.

With your help, £750 by the end of January will stop their eviction.

FC and MA are domestic partners, both seeking asylum in the UK.

They each have no right to work and no recourse to public funds, meaning they have no access to financial or material support from the state. They are left destitute, and have not yet been able to access Home Office asylum seeker support due to the Home Office's failings.

They were recently detained in immigration detention in 2024 and released onto the street, sleeping rough. They now have accommodation, but have to pay for it.

Over the holiday season, their back rent accumulated to £750 of debt and they are now being threatened with eviction.

Amidst this, they are in very poor physical health and struggling to overcome recent and lifelong traumatic violence.

The couple are in urgent need of support to pay for accommodation, medicine, food, phone top up, and other basic necessities while they pursue their applications for Home Office accommodation & subsistence.

Our goal is to raise £750 by the end of January 2025 to stop their eviction, then £1,000 each month to cover their rent and basic expenses until they obtain Home Office support.
