Our beloved friend and former nanny, Estela, lost her daughter this week to a car accident and her three incredible, sweet granddaughters lost their mama and sole parent.  The daughters were in the car too and are in critical condition and need our love and support.

Estela helped raise our daughter Nora, as her nanny. Estela taught us so much about raising a child and brought so much energy and positivity into our home and our daily life with Nora. She had an immense impact on Nora's first year and she took such good care of us as a family. We have always tried in turn to care for her and help her when in need. She and her family need it now more than ever. Estela is a huge, shining part of our family. She's our son Maxwell's incredible nanny who loves him like her own, and she's a lovely, warm human who we're just lucky to have in our lives. She's golden.

Our hearts are broken about the sudden loss of her daughter Erica, and seeing Estela and her family go through yet another tragedy — especially for her three young granddaughters who are now without their wonderful mom. 

Estela is undeserving of the hard life she's endured, including losing her son Byron when he was 4 years old and recently losing her mother. It's a sad reality that tragedy and finances are so closely tied together. We know any amount you can share will be a big help as the family grieves the unthinkable and finds their way to a new normal.
