Help Cyndi Knox fight non hodgkin's lymphoma
Donation protected
Cyndi was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma on 2/8/21. Due to the location of Cyndi's cancer, she is having difficulty finding doctors locally willing to biopsy it further, and was admitted to MD Anderson in order to further confirm specific diagnosis and begin treatment for the tremendous fight ahead. Her first appointment at MD Anderson was February 20, and after spending an entire week there, is still having difficulty finding doctors willing to perform the necessary procedure to begin treatment. PET scan results show that an additional mass has formed and will also require treatment.
Cyndi is mother of three (Maddie, Codie, and Carlee), and is eager to battle this bad news with everything she has; however, the expected costs of treatment in excess of insurance coverage, as well as extensive travel costs, will soon extend far beyond the fund raising goal set here. She would never ask for help herself, so let's take that step out of her hands! In her first week at MD Anderson alone, all funds raised have already been expended!
Cyndi has spent her life bringing smiles to the faces of everyone she meets. Let's return the favor and help her make ends meet as she endures a long hard road ahead.

Expected out of pocket costs:
- medical in excess of insurance $20k
- travel and lodging to MD Anderson $10k
- living expenses $3k
What happened:
Cyndi was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis RA and has had it for much of her adult life. In order to prevent the sometimes excruciating and debilitating pain associated with this autoimmune disease, she has been on a medication to surpress her overreactive immune system for years. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of this medication which she requires to live a mostly normal life is cancer, specifically non hodgkin's lymphoma NHL! So in addition to now having to find additional ways to fight RA, she now has to fight NHL
Updates:
Cyndi is eager to personally respond to the tremendous outpouring of well wishes; however, the stresses of starting diagnosis and treatment leave her exhausted and without much time. As things progress, she hopes to keep everyone updated on Facebook and I will post updates here as well.
Always positive and smiling
