Help Cecilia Grace fight Leukemia.

This Go Fund Me will support  Ceci’s  family and medical expenses as she battles B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

On Thursday March 4th the DiNallo family received life shattering news when Ceci was hit with the diagnosis of B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  This came as a total shock to everyone who knows Ceci as she is your typical busy and active 14 year old.  She is an 8th grader at St Josephs Grade School, where she ran on the schools Cross Country and track team,  is a member of the Junior Honor Society and Student Council and was busy preparing for all the milestone activities that come in 8th grade- confirmation, graduation, and planning her freshman year at Donovan Catholic.  She had also just celebrated her 14th birthday on Tuesday March 2nd and was just starting to learn the sport of Lacrosse and planned to play for the Toms River Lacrosse Club this Spring.

Currently Ceci is at Hackensack hospital and will begin her chemo treatment on Monday March 8th.   She will remain admitted throughout the 8 day cycle and then will be discharged to home for weekly chemo infusions.  The treatment is expected to take 2 years- provided that her body responds to the treatment and there are no complications.

The family is blessed to have insurance and good jobs, but as I know firsthand insurance doesn’t cover everything and there will be very costly uncovered expenses related to her treatment.  There is also the potential that Danielle may have to take an unpaid leave of absence to care for her.

There has been an outpouring of love and support and so many people have asked to help but nobody quite knows what they can do.   Danielle and David are completely overwhelmed at the moment as they are trying to process this devastating and unexpected news, and still trying to provide somewhat of a sense of normalcy for little sister Natalie.   

And so, we are asking those of you who wish to make this easier for them to please lend support in any way you see fit.   Danielle and David welcome your help in whatever form that may be. Prayers, texts, calls, and well wishes are needed and valued. Please keep them coming.
