Help Bilal and his family survive

Donation protected
In April 2024, I launched this campaign on behalf of Bilal and his family because GFM can only support bank transfers in 20 countries. When this campaign began, we hoped that Bilal could use the funds to pay the border crossing fees; now that the borders remain closed, these donations are used to afford the hyperinflated food and supply prices. For instance, Bilal told me on May 4, 2025 that a 25kg bag of flour costs $450; one kilo of sugar $30; and a liter of frying oil $25. He and his immediate family– wife and sons, including a newborn– have access to lentils, pasta and canned food.

Moreover, on April 8, 2025 Bilal, his wife, and son Majd welcomed Muhammad into the world. His first months in this world and he has only known war, famine, and malnutrition. The family lives in a tent because Bilal’s home in Beit Lahia was destroyed last year due to the continuous bombardment of Gaza City.

Every dollar donated helps this family survive another day under unimaginable conditions—bombings, displacement, famine, and the daily fear of loss. Bilal’s resilience is a testament to the will to live, to care for his children, and to find dignity in a world that continues to turn its back on Gaza. Your support means food on the table, diapers for a newborn, pain relief for a sick mother, and a reminder that someone, somewhere, still sees them. Please give what you can—and if you can't donate, share this campaign. It matters more than you know.

Thank you for your solidarity and support.
