Help Abdo & his Family in Gaza

My name is Hannah, I have organised this fundraiser from where I live in the UK on behalf of my friend Abdo Abureida. Abdo is 25 years old, from Gaza. He and his family are currently displaced in the uninhabitable conditions in Rafah. Abdo is part of a large family, consisting of his parents, siblings, nephews and nieces -some of which are newborn babies. They currently live in tents in cramped conditions with very little food and water. The babies are often in desperate need of milk.

Abdo and I speak on a daily basis, he informs me of how each day gets worse. He desperately wants to evacuate his family to safety, away from the relentless bombing and starvation. I have set up this campaign in the hope that my friend and his family can have a chance to escape the horrors they endure and create a better future for their little ones. With your support, this can become a possibility.

A breakdown of how donations will be used:

*UPDATE* 01/05/2024

Donations from the 1st of May 2024 are going towards the urgently needed evacuation of Abdo's mother, Samira. She is currently in critical condition with internal bleeding due to issues with high blood pressure at the European Hospital, Gaza. She requires life saving surgery in Egypt, however we must raise the funds for her evacuation first. Abdo will be keeping us updated on Samira's condition over the next few days. 1. *EVACUATING TO SAFETY *

Each donation, no matter how big or small, will help afford the evacuation of Abdo and his family to safety. The more funds I can raise, the more family members can be rescued. Donations would cover the costs of crossing borders, coordination fees, transportation and living expenses.

2. *HELP MEANWHILE TO AFFORD ESSENTIALS & MILK FOR THE BABIES *

With trading prices rising so high, the cost of everyday essential items are often impossible to afford. Whilst Abdo's family are still displaced in Rafah, part of the donations will go towards milk for the babies, diapers, food, cooking gas and medical supplies. These essentials will help keep them going during the meantime until they are able to evacuate.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help Abdo and his parents, siblings, nephews and nieces keep going at this most difficult time. In a world where it feels nobody will speak up for them, we can only rely on the kindness of good people to stand by them.
