Help 9-Year-Old Mikey Regain His Freedom

Mikey is a 9-year-old who has defied odds. In 2022, he had a brain tumor, and during surgery, he suffered multiple strokes, making him lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, see, or really do anything. He's had multiple hospital stays in between, with multiple of them being on life support. In March of 2024, he had a cardiac arrest resulting in 30 minutes of CPR, yet again more strokes, and lost the abilities we all take for granted again. Most recently he has been hospitalized and on life support for complications of his many medical challenges, we've been at children's 5 times since the week before his 9th birthday at the end of January.

But this doesn't take him down at all. He wishes he could be like his peers and have the independence like them, so we've started the process to get him a service animal to aid in mobility and epilepsy alerting so that he can be 9 and not need mom for everything.

All funds will be used to directly pay the trainer for the 18 months of training, housing, feeding the pup, vet, grooming and any other dog expenses they will have during the training.

If for some reason it ends up being less or we go over any money will be used for vet visits, and other dog related expenses once the pup comes to live with us permanently!
