I am celebrating my personal Cancer Recovery, thankfully going on 2 plus years. I am also celebrating the Renewal from Englewood Health Hospital Breast Cancer Center for my Therapeutic, Soft, Safe, Teddy Bears, that are providing cold cuddly cooling after radiation. Chilly Bear The Feel Better Bear also helps the doctor, nurse, and patient relationship, building a helpful bond between them. This is my 10th Year of helping patients, over 9000 to date! What an honor to play a part of the recovery process for courageous patients and NOW YOU TOO can play an important part!!!

Over the past two years I have personally been challenged from my own multiple unexpected cancer diagnosis, 911 DUST related.

In November and December of 2001, with the permission, support, and assistance of Commissioner Tierney of the FDNY, I set off to visit all FDNY Firehouses that lost a Brave Hero! (All 343). After declaring the "all clear" message that it was safe to be in the Zone below Houston Street, with the encouragement of the FDNY Commissioner, I personally visited every Firehouse and FDNY location that lost a brave firefighter...Despite being mislead, like so many others, that the air and area was now safe to visit.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to provide these Bears to grieving families. On my website feelbetterbear.com you can view (911 FDNY REMEMBERED) a video of the totally unexpected collection of honor, sacrifice, and grief, from many of the FDNY Families themselves, in their own words, shared in letters, cards, and photos. The notes are truly a rare collection of resilience and honor of these brave families.

I also did this endeavor in remembrance of my Family Friend who worked for Cantor & Fitzgerald, MAY God Bless and take care of you, Charlie Murphy, who sadly perished

On September 1, 2023 I had Life Saving Emergency Surgery at Mt. Sinai NYC with the Gifted Surgeon Dr. Eric Genden (Head & Neck) to remove a large cancer growing in my jaw. After removal and reconstruction of my jaw I am still here. I am Grateful ! It has been a long road of recovery and I am still challenged daily with the effects of surgery and radiation. I remain stout hearted.

In 2014 I focused on trying to help people, particularly Cancer Patients with their recovery both physically and emotionally. I added three new appropriately named Bears to my line, FAITH, COURAGE, AND LOVE Bears to compliment the simple Blue, Pink, and Brown Bears.

I introduced The Feel Better Bear Gift Program through the Englewood Hospital Foundation. AND now 10 years later I am told " WE LOVE AND DEPEND ON THEM ... WE don't know what WE would do without them".

Through all this time I never missed a delivery to the Breast Cancer Center maintaining a dependable, seamless flow that remarkably NOW with your help will reach 10,000 patients this coming year!!!

So it has been a challenge to get back on my feet and move forward. I would NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE HELPING SO MANY WOMEN without the financial support of Friends, Hoop Buddies, and Generous people who believed in my mission, to provide Gifted Bears to those in need.

And now I have a major challenge to manufacture more Bears so that I can keep this mission going , as well as grow it to other Hospitals and related institutions. Immensely hard to do with facing ensuing financial hardship to complete the needed new manufacturing and production needs to keep this effort going strong.

I hope you will join me and others by donating to this effort. It HAS BECOME MY MISSION, as Dr. Genden proclaimed, to help patients, and those in need of physical therapy, emotional support and COURAGE to face the wind.

I have maintained my manufacturing relationships well over the years. Fortunately I was able to make the initial deposit toward the new order and NOW need to raise, the remainder of the cost so that I can KEEP this worthy effort going for my 10th year and more.

The new Feel Better Bear samples are beautifully crafted, by my contacts I met through the famed Gund, Inc. two decades ago.

I ask that you generously contribute so I can complete the order, including shipping to my shop so we can continue to supply them to Englewood Health Breast Cancer Center as well as spread the word to other entities that can benefit from these unique healing Bears.
