On behalf of the Apponaug Babe Ruth Baseball League, we are kindly requesting your support for our 8U All-Star team as they prepare to embark on their first-ever tournament trail. After an outstanding season, our team has qualified for the Regional Tournament this July in New Milford, Connecticut — and in an unprecedented moment for our league, we have also received the honor of an invitational spot at the Cal Ripken World Series in Cherry Hill, New Jersey this August.

This invitation to Nationals is a landmark achievement for our league. It is the first time a team from Apponaug Babe Ruth has been recognized on such a prestigious national stage. This opportunity puts our players among the best in the country and is a testament to the dedication, skill, and heart they’ve shown all season. It is an honor that brings immense pride to our entire community — and one we do not take lightly.

While this is an exciting and historic moment, it also comes with significant financial challenges. Many of our families are juggling the costs of summer sports for multiple children, and the added burden of tournament registration fees, uniforms, travel, and accommodations for both Regionals and Nationals is substantial.

Regardless of our results at the Regional level, we will be moving on to represent our league and our town at the Cal Ripken World Series in Cherry Hill. This next step on the national stage brings not only greater competition but also increased financial pressure. To ensure that every player has the chance to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we are seeking donations and sponsorships to help offset these essential costs.
