Help 8 Refugees from Kakuma Attend the Landmark Forum
We are eight individuals from Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, and we need your support to make a life
changing opportunity a reality. We are traveling to Eldoret to participate in the East Africa Landmark Forum online, a transformative program designed to equip us with powerful tools for personal and
community growth.
Why We Need Your Help:
With tuition, accommodation, and meals being generously covered by others, we still face one critical
need: the round-trip bus fare to Eldoret (a 10-hour journey each way) and data bundles for our phones
to participate in the seminar series following the Forum. This will all cost approximately 80,000 Kenyan
Shillings (about $870 CAD or $620 USD). This transportation and communication cost is vital, as it will
allow us to travel together to attend the course in an environment that offers a reliable internet
connection and laptops—far superior to relying on the often-unstable phone connectivity available in
Kakuma.
Why This Journey Matters:
This course isn’t just about us—it’s about the future of Kakuma and the broader refugee community.
What could happen if we return from this transformative course, equipped with newfound knowledge
and tools? What if, together, we could inspire others to take bold steps toward change, healing, and
personal development?
We are asking ourselves:
- What impact can we make in our community if we have the right support and tools to make our dreams
a reality? - How can we use this opportunity to break barriers, overcome the obstacles in our lives, and help others
in Kakuma and beyond? - What change can happen when a small group of motivated individuals come together with a shared
vision of growth and empowerment?
Our Contribution:
By supporting us, you’re not just helping us attend a course—you’re investing in something much bigger.
You’re helping us unlock our potential to make a meaningful difference, both in our lives and in the lives
of many others.
Any contribution, big or small, will help cover the transportation costs and enable us to take full
advantage of this life-changing experience. Your generosity will directly impact our journey and, through
us, the wider community of Kakuma. We are incredibly grateful for your support and belief in our ability
to create lasting change.
Thank you for being part of our journey!
