Hi, my name is Hailey, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my vibrant, strong sister, Lena-Marie, who is just 7 years old. Lena-Marie has recently been diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a rare, chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes severe muscle weakness and fatigue, affecting vital functions like breathing, eating, and walking. Alongside this, she is also battling thyroid disease, which adds even more challenges to her young life. These diagnoses have been overwhelming and life-changing for our family. Watching Lena-Marie struggle with things that should come easily for a child—like playing, running, or even smiling on tough days—has been heartbreaking. Yet through it all, she shows incredible bravery, humor, and spirit.

We are asking for your help because the costs of her care are growing quickly. Between frequent doctor visits, hospital stays, specialist appointments, medications, therapies, and travel expenses, we are struggling to keep up. Your donation will help cover ongoing medical treatments and prescriptions, specialized therapies and care to support her recovery, travel and lodging for out-of-town specialists, and medical equipment to improve her daily comfort and mobility.
