Hi,

I'm Stephen Holcomb and I'm a July 4th weekend Flood Survivor. I'm a 79-year-old jolly, old guy surviving my way through multiple myeloma cancer for 8 years now.

Since my diagnosis, I decided to live in an RV to take the load off my daughter and her family.

On the day of the flood, my neighbors and I were lucky enough to get a warning that the flood was coming. I was able to use my truck to tow two neighbors’ trailers up to high ground. But when I came back for the third neighbor and my own, the flood waters were too high, and we had to get out. I had to watch my trailer float away, and almost all my belongings were destroyed along with it. If you look in the photo, mine is the one barely sticking out in the back.

I'm in emergency housing, and will use any funds raised to help pay for a replacement RV, new clothes, and household goods. I've been really blessed compared to others who lost loved ones in the floods. But I’m grateful for any thoughts, prayers, and support!
