Due to the severity of Patrik's current health condition, these diagnostic tests are urgent.

To get him medical care immediately, we face these overwhelming costs:

Brain MRI: €8,000 (excluding travel). This amount covers comprehensive, multi-segment scans of the brain and entire spine, which are essential due to Patrik's highly complex neurological state. It also includes the necessary expert neuroradiological reviews, multidisciplinary specialist consultations, and specialized medical preparation required to perform the procedures safely and without delay.

1st Cardiologist Test: Approximately €5,000 (including travel)

Hi,

My 7 year old son Patrik is a true fighter.

At three months old, he was diagnosed with a life-threatening complex heart condition Tetralogy of Fallot.

His journey has been incredibly difficult.

Patrik has survived three heart surgeries: two stent placements and one open-heart surgery. He spent a long period on life support.

During this time, his body endured severe trauma, including multiple cardiac arrests and total organ failure.

Against all odds, Patrik survived. However, these events left him with brain damage, causing significant developmental delays.

He has also been diagnosed with Autism, and specialists have informed us that he will eventually develop epilepsy and that future surgeries could potentially erase the progress he has made so far.

His heart remains incredibly weak—the right side is failing. Because he is missing a heart valve, fluid is constantly leaking around his heart and he will require heart surgeries for the rest of his life.

To give Patrik a chance at life we need to take him to specialized paediatric cardiac and neurology centres outside of Ireland for testing (To Austria, probably to US)Traveling for these consultations, securing international specialist reviews, and undergoing advanced diagnostic procedures comes with immense costs that we simply cannot cover alone anymore.

Because of the brain damage Patrik suffered during his medical crises, he faces significant developmental delays and a very high risk of epilepsy. He requires continuous, specialized therapies.

We are asking for help because we can no longer cover these costs on our own.

Moj sedmogodišnji sin Patrik pravi je borac.

Kada je imao tri mjeseca, dijagnosticirana mu je složena i po život opasna srčana mana – Tetralogija Fallot.

Njegov je put bio iznimno težak.

Patrik je preživio tri srčana zahvata: dvije ugradnje stenta i jednu operaciju na otvorenom srcu. Dugo je vremena bio priključen na uređaje za održavanje života.

U tom je razdoblju njegovo tijelo pretrpjelo tešku traumu, uključujući višestruke zastoje srca i potpuno zatajenje organa.

Unatoč svim prognozama, Patrik je preživio. Ipak, ti ​​su događaji uzrokovali oštećenje mozga, što je dovelo do znatnih razvojnih poteškoća.

Također mu je dijagnosticiran autizam, a stručnjaci su nas upozorili da će s vremenom razviti epilepsiju te da bi buduće operacije mogle poništiti napredak koji je dosad postigao.

Njegovo je srce i dalje iznimno slabo – desna strana srca zatajuje. Budući da mu nedostaje srčani zalistak, tekućina se neprestano nakuplja oko srca, a operacije srca bit će mu potrebne do kraja života.

Kako bismo Patriku pružili priliku za život, moramo ga odvesti na pretrage u specijalizirane centre za dječju kardiologiju i neurologiju izvan Irske (u Austriju, Ameriku). Putovanja radi konzultacija, osiguravanje mišljenja međunarodnih stručnjaka i provođenje naprednih dijagnostičkih postupaka iziskuju goleme troškove koje više jednostavno ne možemo sami pokriti.

Zbog oštećenja mozga pretrpljenog tijekom zdravstvenih kriza, Patrik se suočava sa značajnim razvojnim poteškoćama i vrlo visokim rizikom od epilepsije. Potrebne su mu kontinuirane, specijalizirane terapije.
