Help 6th Grader Experience U.S. History Firsthand
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cynthia, and I’m the proud mom of Leo, a 6th grader at Delta Vista Middle School in Oakley, CA. This September, Leo has an incredible opportunity to travel with his school to visit some of the most historic sites in the United States, including but not limited to: Washington D.C. (the White House and Smithsonian), Virginia (Mt. Vernon), New York (the 9/11 Museum and Statue of Liberty), and Philadelphia (Independence Hall and Reading Market).
A Little About Leo:
Leo is a bright and hardworking student who is passionate about a variety of interests. He enjoys puppeteering, robotics, and playing in his school band, where he has played both the trumpet and the baritone. Leo loves spending summers playing in his grandmother's pool and can never pass up a good arcade game. Last year, Leo was chosen to play Ben Franklin at an event at his school. Leo is an Honor Roll student with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor.
To help prepare for the trip, Leo and I have been borrowing books from our local library to learn about all the places we will visit and to deepen his understanding of U.S. history. This trip will not only be an exciting adventure but an invaluable educational experience for him.
Leo has already raised over $1,600 on his own through candy sales, garage sales, selling crafts, and selling items on Facebook Marketplace, but he still needs a bit more help to make this trip a reality. Your support will allow Leo to experience history firsthand, expand his knowledge, and create lasting memories.
If we exceed our goal, any extra funds will go towards helping me attend the trip with Leo so I can be there to support him every step of the way.
Thank you so much for considering supporting Leo. Your generosity will make this incredible educational journey a reality!
