On a normal morning, Alaia’s life changed forever.
Alaia is a bright, loving, and joyful little girl who is about to turn 6 years old on May 24th. She has the kind of smile that lights up every room and a spirit that brings happiness to everyone around her. I’ve lived with Alaia since she was born she’s not just my niece, she’s like my own little sister, and I love her more than words can explain.
A few days ago, her parents were driving her and her siblings to daycare when another car ran a red light and caused a devastating crash.
Alaia was the one who was hurt the most.
This is what Alaia is going through right now in the hospital.
She suffered a severe spinal injury, and right now, her nerves have been disconnected from her spine. She is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Doctors have placed her in a halo to keep her completely still, and she is breathing and being fed through tubes. They’ve told us she may have to stay like this for at least the next two months.
Seeing her like this is something no family should ever have to go through.
Despite everything, Alaia is still fighting.
Her brain signals are good, and we are holding onto every bit of hope we can. But the road ahead is uncertain, and it will be long.
This is where we need help.
The medical bills alone are going to be overwhelming, Hospital stays, potential surgeries, specialized equipment, and long-term rehabilitation. On top of that, her parents are spending every moment by her side, which makes it extremely difficult to work and keep up with everyday expenses.
This fundraiser is to help ease that burden so they can focus on what truly matters: being there for Alaia every single step of the way.
The funds will go toward:
• Medical bills and hospital care
• Possible surgeries and treatments
• Travel, food, and daily expenses while staying at the hospital
• Future rehabilitation, therapy, and recovery support
Alaia deserves a chance to heal. She deserves a future full of laughter, play, and the life she was just beginning to grow into.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean everything to our family. And if you can’t, please share this with others it truly helps more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read Alaia’s story, and thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
