My name is Calvin, and I’m the proud owner of 504WingsN’Fries in New Orleans, Louisiana. I started this restaurant at 17 years old with nothing but a dream, some faith, and a lot of determination. Most people thought I was too young to run a restaurant, and honestly, some days I wasn’t sure myself. I didn’t have investors or big connections—just long nights, hard lessons, and moments where I almost gave up. Every struggle taught me that hard work pays off and that even at 17, you can chase your dream and make it real. Two years into my journey, 504WingsN’Fries is more than just chicken—it’s my story and proof that passion and dedication can build something from the ground up.
My restaurant is rooted in the heart of New Orleans, a city famous for its food and culture. I serve my community by bringing them the flavors and spirit of our hometown, making every meal feel like home. But right now, I’m limited to a certain area of the city. With a food truck, I could expand my reach and bring a taste of New Orleans to more people, wherever they are. Being on wheels means everyone can experience the comfort and joy of our food, no matter where they live.
Getting a food truck comes with challenges—costs, permits, and equipment are all hurdles I need help overcoming. But this isn’t just about starting a business; it’s about building a future and creating financial stability for my family while doing what I love. For the community, the food truck will be a welcoming spot where people can connect, enjoy fresh and affordable food, and support a local dream. I plan to partner with local schools, churches, and non-profits to serve at community events, food drives, and fundraisers. I especially hope to serve youth programs, first responders, and underserved neighborhoods where access to quality food and uplifting experiences can be limited. This food truck is a step toward not just feeding people—but feeding hope, opportunity, and connection.
