Durante los meses de julio y agosto, la región de Junín, en la sierra peruana, ha sido afectada por una serie de más de 20 fuertes sismos, dejando muchas familias con viviendas destrozadas e inhabitables.

Cuando una familia pierde su vivienda, necesita más que un refugio: necesita un lugar seguro donde dormir, comer y protegerse mientras reconstruye su vida.

Actualmente, el Estado viene entregando carpas como respuesta de emergencia, pero estas aún no son suficientes para todas las familias afectadas ni ofrecen las condiciones necesarias para una vivienda digna. Por eso queremos aportar una solución rápida:

Construir 50 viviendas de emergencia para 50 familias.

¿Quiénes somos?

Sombras Tejidas es una iniciativa de ARQ PERÚ que desarrolla estructuras ligeras y de bajo costo utilizando estructuras de PVC, mallas y elementos metálicos de conexión.

Nuestra tecnología ha sido desarrollada y validada nacional e internacionalmente para crear soluciones móviles, modulares y de rápido armado, utilizando materiales accesibles y locales. Puede aplicarse en diferentes situaciones de protección, desde espacios protegidos frente a la radiación UV hasta viviendas para emergencias como la que viven hoy las familias de Junín.

Una de sus principales características es que son autoconstruibles: las propias familias y comunidades pueden aprender el sistema, participar en el armado y transmitir el conocimiento a otras personas, o utilizarla de herramienta de trabajo.

¿En qué utilizaremos las donaciones?

Los fondos permitirán cubrir:

-Capacitaciones a la población

-Materiales para los cimientos, las estructuras, coberturas y cerramientos

-Mobiliario interior: camarotes, mesas, sillas y equipamiento básico

-Transporte de materiales y equipos hacia las zonas afectadas de Junín

Nuestro objetivo inicial es ayudar a 50 familias, pero queremos llegar tan lejos como las donaciones nos permitan. Si recaudamos más, podremos construir más viviendas y ampliar la ayuda.

Documentaremos el avance del proyecto, las familias beneficiadas y el uso de los recursos, compartiendo actualizaciones con nuestra comunidad.

During the months of July and August, the Junín region, in the Peruvian Andes, has been affected by more of 20 strong earthquakes, leaving many families with homes that have been severely damaged or rendered uninhabitable.

When a family loses its home, it needs more than shelter: it needs a safe place to sleep, eat, and stay protected while rebuilding its life.

Currently, the government is providing tents as an emergency response, but these are still not enough for all affected families and do not provide the conditions needed for dignified housing.

That is why we want to offer a rapid solution:

Build 50 emergency homes for 50 families.

Who are we?

Sombras Tejidas is an initiative of ARQ PERÚ that develops lightweight, low-cost structures using PVC tubes, mesh, and metal connecting elements.

Our technology has been developed and validated nationally and internationally to create mobile, modular, and quick-to-assemble solutions using accessible, locally available materials. It can be applied to different protection needs, from spaces protected from UV radiation to emergency housing for situations like the one affecting families in Junín today.

One of its main features is that these homes are self-buildable: families and communities can learn the system, participate in the assembly, and pass the knowledge on to others, or use it as a work skill.

How will the donations be used?

The funds will help cover:

-Training for local communities

-Materials for foundations, structures, roofing, and enclosures

-Interior furnishings: bunk beds, tables, chairs, and basic equipment

-Transportation of materials and equipment to the affected areas of Junín

Our initial goal is to help 50 families, but we want to go as far as donations allow. If we raise more, we will be able to build more homes and expand our support.

We will document the progress of the project, the families receiving assistance, and how the funds are used, sharing updates with our community.

Every donation can become materials.

Those materials can become a home.

And a home can give a family a safe place from which to rebuild their life.
