Help displaced kids in Cameroon go to school

Education changes lives. You can help make a change today by donating to Yume Africa, a non-profit organization committed to helping at least 50 kids this year displaced by the ongoing Anglophone Crisis devastating Cameroon. Since 2016, the Anglophone Crisis has been affecting The Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon.

According to the UNHCR, Cameroon hosts about two million persons of concern to UNHCR, including one million internally displaced persons*, 460,000 refugees and asylum-seekers and 466,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP). These people are currently internally displaced in their own country and cannot go back to their home because of insecurity. 51% of internally displaced persons are children. Learn more at   https://www.unhcr.org/en-us/cameroon.html.
Last year, with your generous support, we helped 28 displaced Cameroonian children (18 girls and 10 boys, 17 in elementary and 11 in middle school) to attend school successfully. (Learn more at https://www.yumeafrica.org/post/bringing-hope-to-displaced-kids-in-cameroon.)

Here at Yume Africa, our ongoing mission is to support and promote education of children and youth in Cameroon while assisting families affected by the Anglophone Crisis. Your donation will ensure these children can attend school for the 2022 academic year starting in September.

This will be our second year campaigning to assist the displaced kids in Cameroon. We want to help them stay in school and add even more students this year. With your help, we can change lives! With as little as $100 USD, you are investing in a child’s future for an entire academic year by covering the costs of: $40 for school fees, $25 for books, $25 for school supplies, and $10 for a school bag or shoes. This is the average cost for elementary, middle, and high school students. Even if you cannot donate $100 today, any donation will make a difference!

Thank you for your support!
