Five Cats have Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a fast-progressing disease that kills in a horrifying way without immediate treatment. Without GS-441524, an antiviral medication administered daily for 84 days (12 weeks), the non-dry FIP cats will die from horrifying swollen organ ruptures.

Linda is currently the worst-faring cat among the five, so I prioritized making a video for her. Other cats will have their media uploaded later.

This fundraiser is only for GS-441524 medication. Food, litter, or previous vet bills are not included. All non-dry FIP treatment is managed by Europets Clinic, Villa 341, Al Mirgab St., Al Qadisiya, Sharjah, UAE.

INDIVIDUAL CASES

1. Linda — Neuro FIP (hospitalized, losing weight)

Linda is the most critical case. She has developed neurological FIP and is currently losing weight, which is a dangerous sign of disease progression. Because GS dosage is determined by weight, her current weight loss keeps costs slightly lower—but as she stabilizes and begins recovering, her dosage will increase.

Neurological FIP requires high-dose GS, and Linda has already needed hospitalization, neurological evaluation, and monthly blood work at Europets Clinic. Her treatment is expected to need either the standard 84-day (12 weeks) course, or possibly extended treatment of up to 16 weeks depending on response.

For now, we are calculating the lower amount:

A vial every two days = 42 vials × 270 AED = 11,340 AED

2. Hannah — Neuro-Ocular FIP

Hannah was a healthy young kitten until she suddenly developed severe dental issues and stopped eating dry food. After dental surgery, she initially improved, but quickly deteriorated:

Her symptoms point strongly to neuro-ocular FIP. Because her weight is expected to increase during treatment (a positive sign), her GS dosage will rise accordingly. At this stage, we can only estimate based on typical dosing for her size and condition.

Expected treatment cost: 5,000 AED

3. Bengaloo — Dry FIP (capsules, already incurred non-FIP bills)

Bengaloo takes two GS capsules per day at 60 AED daily. He is not gaining much weight, which keeps dosage stable for now. His treatment cost for the 84-day course is:

60 AED × 84 days = 5,040 AED

Bengaloo also has significant veterinary invoices already paid before his FIP diagnosis (non-FIP issues). These are not included in this fundraiser but have added financial strain to the rescue.

4. Ziggy — Dry FIP (stable weight)

Ziggy is maintaining a stable weight, so he receives GS in capsule form without major dose adjustments. He has been sick but manageable, and capsules make treatment slightly less costly than vials. He will require the full 84-day course and monitoring at Europets Clinic.

Required: 900–1000 AED per month → 2,700–3,000 AED

5. Mansoora — Dry FIP (heavy weight, increasing dose)

Mansoora has dry FIP and is a heavier cat, meaning she already requires higher-dose GS. Her dosage was recently increased again by Europets Clinic because of her weight. Based on her current size, she is expected to use roughly one vial every three days over the treatment period.

Weight gain is actually a GOOD sign—it means the cat is healing—but it does increase the amount of GS needed. Donations will always be managed with full updates if goal adjustments are required.

Closing Statement

Aileen Cat Rescue cares for 150+ cats with no staff or helpers. The rescuer is stretched to the limit with hospital visits, cleaning, and daily care.

This sudden cluster of confirmed FIP cases has pushed the rescue beyond its limits. I am helping by organizing this fundraiser so these five cats have a real chance at life. We are asking only for the GS-441524 medication costs — nothing more.
