Hello! I am starting this fundraiser to support my good friend and fellow runner, Alexis Amani Simbayobewe, founder of Sheer Love Rwanda, who sponsors the street children in his school to run the Kigali Marathon. Growing up as a street kid, orphaned during the 1994 genocide, Amani found running to be a therapeutic outlet. Now he takes the kids his nonprofit, Sheer Love Rwanda, supports on adventure runs to bond and build confidence.

The Kigali marathon takes place in June. Your funds will go directly towards a race entry for 40 kids, new shoes, and running gear for each kid.
