Hi, my name is Emma Schwartz, and I am the primary author of The Birds Stop Singing. As a theatre kid, Covid-19 prevented me from performing on stage, and it made me think. Most theaters, even Christian ones, struggle to keep a wholesome environment, and most shows have negative themes. What if there was a way to change that? With that thought, I gathered my ballerina friend, my songwriter friend, and my friend who could run the world, and I decided to write a musical. Beginning in November of 2020, we brainstormed, wrote, rewrote, and edited our show: all on a Google Meets call, because we couldn't meet in-person! Now, in January 2022, the dream is in view: we have a cast and a venue to make our teenage dream reality. By supporting this musical, you are taking action against the propaganda of this world, and allowing young actors and actresses a safe opportunity to perform in a non-toxic environment.
