Urgent Help Needed:

Please help as we try to help four children put their lives back together after facing a unthinkable tragedy.

My grandchildren David and Maríanna (Nana), and their two younger sisters have suffered an unimaginable loss of both their father, and their siblings mother; whom David and Nana considered their second mom.

Recently their dad and his girlfriend were found shot dead in their vehicle in a parking lot. Some are saying it's due to domestic Violence but so far that has not been the police's official determination. No matter what event lead up to it, it has caused four children to loss two of the most important people in their young lives. This tragedy has left four children to have their young lives turned upside down. Sadly this has not been the first tragic domestic violent incident for David and Nana. Their mom, my daughter had suffered a blow to the head a few years ago, right before Christmas, at the hands of a then boyfriend, from Domestic Violence . She had to have emergency Brain Surgery for 15% blood in her brain which needed to be removed. The surgery left her having seizures as well as later down the road; further medical issues that stemmed from this TBI and surgery. After working with her doctors and many medical visits later she has just recently been able to return to working.

Our grandchildren, David (17) and Marianna (15), are now without their father. The two younger siblings, ages 13 and 7, are now left with neither a mother nor a father.

The Power of Staying Together

In the wake of this profound loss: the older children have expressed one overwhelming desire: that is to stay together. They fear that losing each other too would be too much to take for themselves and their younger siblings. So In a time of unimaginable grief, keeping them together is our top priority to ensure all of their emotional well-being and stability.

So the funds donated will assist the children and help to alieviate the stress from family members so they can focus on the needs of the children and adjust to the new way of living for all parties involved .

How the Funds Will Help:

A loving family member has bravely stepped forward to take on all four children in the home they are familiar with. Although David and Nana will also reside with two of their Grandparents; which is myself and my husband, as their mother lives in another state. We have decided for the emotional and mental wellbeing of all four children, moving the two oldest to another state so soon after this tragedy would ve more harmful than helpful to them. But being that the eldest do have a parent and other family, the solution was to keep them in Minnesota both at my home and their home with their siblings. Also allowing them to remain in the school they are used to and with the friends they have been growing up with. We are trying our best to keep what we can normal and familiar. We are raising funds to support David and Marìanna to easy the financial strain for their siblings family member; this will allow them to remain with their siblings and support them, which will allow for less strain and stress on the family member, as they immediately adjust to caring for three teenagers and a young child.

Housing and Essentials: Covering the increased cost of food, utilities, and daily essentials for the larger household during the initial critical months. As, well as, transporting them to school and back and forth between the two homes.

Stability: Ensuring a safe, stable home environment so the children do not have to be separated.
