A single Mother of 2 had her world turned upside down in a matter of an hour. Unknowingly her ex-husband took her car with her two children, Natalie(12) and Shane(5). Both children were in seat belts in the back seat of the vehicle. Their Father DID NOT have Shane in his car seat. An eyewitness was driving behind the vehicle as it stopped frequently in the middle of the road. Then the vehicle was swerving over the yellow center line and back. While the witness was on the phone with 911, the children’s Father crashed directly into a telephone pole. 
Tina's two children have birthdays In September. Natalie turns 13 on the 5th and Shane turns 6 one week later. Mind you they will have their birthdays celebrated in the hospital. 
Both kids had their 1st surgery and were successful. Natalie has to go back into surgery for her severed spine the following morning. The Doctor stated that her injury was the worst he has ever seen. She was inches away from being paralyzed. 
Tina, as many of you know, is a selfless person. She is a Mom first. Everyone else comes second. She will drop everything to help out a friend in need. Well, she is the one who is in need now! 
Tina will need to take a leave of absence from her job in order to care for her children while they are in the hospital and at home. With the severity of Natalie's injuries, she will be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks, and at least 6 weeks of recovery and rehab in their home.
