Help 4-year-old Kyra Knock Out Leukemia

Donation protected

On March 9, 2021, our dear friend/sister and her husband, Robin and Marc Segala, received  the devastating news that their 3-year-old baby girl Kyra (pictured below holding her new brother Derek) was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Kyra is currently in the hospital undergoing her first round of chemotherapy treatments. While we are hopeful for Kyra's recovery because of the recency of the diagnosis and the possibility of future therapies, there may be more advanced and costly options that the Segala family need to pursue depending on how Kyra responds to her current treatment plan.

As we are unsure of how much out-of-pocket expenses will accumulate over time, we have set our current goal to $10,000 until we have a better idea of what the future will bring. We foresee that Kyra's parents' ability to work may be affected while caring for Kyra during her treatment and hopeful recovery.

Your donations will not only help go to any out-of-pocket expenses for Kyra's treatments and hospitalization, but will also support the family with whatever additional needs that may arise as they support Kyra through her treatment.

We will update this page as Kyra's treatment progresses and we have a better idea of the financial costs this will cause for the Segala family.

In the meantime, please keep sweet Kyra in your thoughts and hearts.

With hope,
Pam Baginski and Tisha Bohr
