My name is Brian Lee, and I am raising funds for my cousin, Li Hui, who lives in China. She is only 39 years old, and was recently diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer, which has already spread to her brain and bones.
For her mother, this is an unimaginable heartbreak. She lost her husband to cancer in his early 40s, then her only sibling in his 30s to the same disease. Now, her only daughter — her last close family member — is facing the same battle at just 39. Her mother was forced into early retirement and lives on a very small pension, barely enough for daily expenses. She simply cannot afford the overwhelming costs of treatment.
I have personally contributed $10,000 to support Li Hui, but the cost of her care is far greater. Modern cancer treatments in China — including targeted therapies, brain radiation, and bone-strengthening medicines — can cost $45,000 to $120,000 per year. These treatments could ease her suffering, give her more time, and let her live with dignity.
That is why I am turning to GoFundMe. Your donation will go directly toward Li Hui’s treatment and care, including:
Medications and targeted therapies
Brain radiation or surgery
Bone metastasis treatment and pain relief
Hospitalization, scans, and lab tests
Supportive and palliative care
Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring comfort and hope to Li Hui and her mother. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness.
