I have received a request from Al-Rayyan Muslim Funeral Services of $6,000 to assist in covering the funeral costs of our departed brothers:

Calvin Morgan DOB: 12/12/73 DOD: 03/01/2024 Died at Kingston Hospital

Burial is expected to be on 03/06/2024 at Forest Green Park Cemetery

Bruce Franklin who was a veteran DOB:05/03/56 DOD:02/18/24 Died at Richmond Center for Rehab and Healthcare in Staten Island.

Burial will be on 03/06/2024 at Calverton National Cemetery.

His spouse said she does not have the money for her husband's funeral. She said her husband was a muslim and would have been cremated if there was no other option. The spouse herself had a stroke and is legally blind.

Majeed Hosein DOB:12/11/1958 DOD:03/03/2024 Died at Elm York Assisted Living

Burial will be on 03/06/2024 at Forest Green Park.

The total bill presented by the funeral home amounts to $6,000, and we urge you to help us ensure that our brothers finds their final resting places swiftly.

It's important to emphasize that there is no one to bear the funeral expenses, and it is our religious duty to step in. We kindly request that you include Bruce Franklin, Calvin Morgan, and Majeed Hosein in your prayers, contribute, and share this fundraiser with your friends and family.

Please understand that in America, there are no free funerals, and someone has to shoulder the costs, including grave fees, funeral home charges, transportation fees, director's fees, grave opening and closing expenses, and more.

All funeral homes rely on the support of the community to cover these expenses, and we are striving to do the same for these three brothers, inshaAllah.
