Help Three Abandoned Puppies Fight for Their Lives

Just after midnight, a neighbor witnessed something heartbreaking.

A car pulled over, the door opened, and three young puppies were left on the side of the road. Before anyone could react, the car sped away, leaving them alone in the darkness.

The neighbor immediately contacted UFAR Animal Rescue. Our volunteers grabbed flashlights and began searching the area in the middle of the night. Thankfully, all three puppies were found and brought to safety.

As we examined them, it was clear they had already been neglected. They had severely overgrown nails, painful skin infections, and ear infections. But despite everything they had been through, they were still gentle, trusting, and full of love.

Then came even more devastating news.

All three puppies tested positive for parvovirus (parvo)—a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening virus that primarily affects puppies. Parvo attacks the digestive system, causing severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and weakness. Without prompt treatment, many puppies do not survive.

These puppies are now in isolation and receiving intensive veterinary care. Their treatment includes IV fluids, medications, constant monitoring, and supportive care as they fight this virus.

The cost of treating three puppies with parvo is significant, but we are committed to giving each of them every possible chance to recover.
