I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and co-worker, a young, hardworking family whose lives have been turned upside down. Their sweet two-year-old daughter, Bazyl, was recently diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer—and they need our help now more than ever.
It all started with what seemed like a minor accident. Bazyl was playing like any other toddler when she fell and hurt her neck. Her parents knew something wasn’t right, so they took her to the hospital. After tests and scans, doctors discovered her neck was fractured—a terrifying diagnosis on its own.
But things quickly became even more serious. Further imaging revealed what was believed to be a blood clot on her spine. Bazyl was taken into emergency surgery to remove it—but during the operation, doctors made a heartbreaking discovery: the “clot” was actually a tumor pressing against her spinal cord. The official diagnosis was Ewing sarcoma—a rare and aggressive form of bone and soft tissue cancer.
The surgical team removed as much of the tumor as they could without damaging her spine, but Bazyl now faces an intense, uncertain road ahead: chemotherapy, radiation, and months—maybe years—of treatment and recovery.
This is a young family with four children who live paycheck to paycheck, working hard to provide for their kids. The emotional toll of Bazyl’s diagnosis is enormous—and now the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. Between bills, missed work, travel for treatments, and trying to care for their other children, this family is stretched far beyond their limits.
That’s why we’re asking for help.
Your support—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:
• Bazyl’s medical treatment and hospital care
• Travel and lodging for out-of-town appointments
• Medications and medical supplies
• Financial relief so the family can focus on being together during this crisis
If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page with others and keeping Bazyl in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of love, support, and kindness matters.
Bazyl is only two years old—but she’s already showing the strength of a warrior. With your help, she won’t be fighting this battle alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
With gratitude,
