Help 212° Academy Recover from Hurricane Milton
In 2020, former Division I coach John Mahoney, who has coached at schools such as the University of Michigan, West Virginia, Duquesne, and Robert Morris among others, teamed up with myself Dolan, a former player at Florida Gulf Coast University, to create 212° Academy. Located in Sarasota, Florida, our basketball prep school is dedicated to helping high school and post-graduate athletes prepare for the collegiate student-athlete experience.
At 212° Academy, we embody the philosophy of "The Extra Degree". Just as water at 211° is hot but transforms into steam with that One Extra Degree, we encourage our athletes to push for that extra rep on the court and to cultivate character and kindness off the court.
Our diverse community includes student-athletes from around the globe—Japan, Turkey, Senegal, Spain, France, Ukraine, and, of course, our hometown of Sarasota.
Unfortunately, Sarasota recently faced the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton, and 212° Academy sustained significant damage. Several windows were blown out, trees were downed, and most critically, our gym's roof suffered major leaks. The heart of our academy—the court we use every day—has been severely affected.
We need your help.
To continue providing a high-level experience for our student-athletes, we are seeking assistance to clean our facility and repair the damage. Your contributions will directly support our recovery efforts and help us ensure that we can safeguard our academy from future disasters.
Any amount helps
