Help 200 Girls Soar: Scholarships for Change

The Resilient Girl Foundation (RGF) has been championing the empowerment of Nigerian girls since 2022, bringing hope and transformation to those who need it most. This year, we’re taking a bold step forward, committing to work with 200 extraordinary girls from Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan. These are not just any girls. They are survivors, dreamers, and future leaders. Many of our girls are living in correctional centers and orphanages and we want to give them hope!

The Resilient Girl Foundation (RGF) has been championing the empowerment of Nigerian girls since 2022, bringing hope and transformation to those who need it most. This year, we’re taking a bold step forward, committing to work with 200 extraordinary girls from Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan. These are not just any girls. They are survivors, dreamers, and future leaders. Many of our girls are living in correctional centers and orphanages and we want to give them hope!

Imagine a young girl, full of potential but trapped in circumstances beyond her control. At a young Age Fisayo dreamed of attending University, despite being in the Correctional center with limited resources. Through mentorship and education provided by RGF, she not only excelled academically but also became a peer mentor, inspiring others to chase their dreams. Today, Fisayo is in her second semester of Univeristy, proving that with support, determination, and opportunity, she who dares truly wins.

But her story isn’t unique. Across Nigeria, girls face daunting challenges such as early marriages, gender-based violence, limited education, and systemic barriers. These issues rob them of their futures and diminish their communities. We at RGF refuse to accept this reality.

We believe that every girl, regardless of her background, deserves the chance to thrive. These 200 girls are brimming with intelligence, light, and love. They have BIG dreams to become engineers, teachers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Yet, they face towering barriers, and without help, their dreams might never take flight.

When we support these girls, we’re not just giving them tools for survival; we’re giving them wings to soar. With your help, we can ensure that by the time they turn 18 and leave the correctional centers and orphanages, they are prepared to enter the world as strong, confident, and capable global citizens.

Maryam Story: At 16, she has big dreams to become a lawyer. RGF has stepped in, providing her with a scholarship and connecting her with a mentor. Today, she is the president of our RGF group, and a top student at her high school. Maryam has very supportive parents and a brilliant little sister that looks up to her. She is boldly working towards the future she desires, and she is very determined to become an advocate for women’s rights. She says, “Someone believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Now, I want to be that someone for others.”

Before or by the end of April 2025, we want to provide one year educational scholarships to all 200 girls in our program. Your donation, no matter the size, can be the bridge that helps a girl like Faith or Amara cross over to a brighter future.
