Help 2 year old Myles during his open heart surgery journey!
Donation protected
Hey, heart friends and family! The time is almost here and we need your help. My 2 year old son, Myles is about to have his 3rd open heart surgery. Myles was born with a critical heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This means he was born with only half of a heart. This defect is incurable, but these heart surgeries are an attempt at prolonging his life. Myles' story is one of strength, resilience and true bravery in the face of a critical and terrifying diagnosis. Though he is getting sicker by the day, he has so much life in him and we are praying that this 3rd surgery will greatly improve his quality of life.
Due to the seriousness of his condition, Myles receives all of his care in New Orleans. This is about a 5 hour drive from home for us. We are looking at spending around 1 month in New Orleans in the cardiac ICU for this surgery. This will not only be extremely costly for us to be there in terms of food, gas and basic needs, but we will still have bills at home to pay. We will be out of work this entire time to be with our baby, as Chris and I will switch out shifts staying in the room with him so we can rest and be present to help him heal.
We are asking for donations to help keep our family afloat during this difficult time. Having a critically ill child is not anything you ever picture for your life, but God has entrusted his life and care to Chris and I and we take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness. We will do whatever it takes to take care of him. We would be deeply grateful if you were a part of this journey too. Please pray for my baby. Please share his story. Whether you can donate or not, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support during this time❤️
