Help 2-Year-Old Billy Beat Cancer

Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends & Community,

It is with heavy hearts we share that our littlest family member, William “Billy”, has been diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer.

In early May of 2023, Billy began saying that his belly hurt and was moving around slower than his usual toddler self. His mom Ryann felt a mass in his abdomen and brought him in for evaluation. Following further tests the unthinkable was discovered; a cancerous tumor growing on his liver, larger than a baseball, with adjacent satellite lesions.

His team of doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute are now working to minimize cancer from spreading in his body and are hoping to shrink the liver mass with chemo before operating. The tumor has displaced his organs and is compressing major vessels and hepatic veins, complicating a resection surgery.

On May 16th, 2023, Billy had a port surgically placed in his chest. He went through his first round of chemotherapy a few hours later with Mommy, Daddy and Buzz Lightyear by his side.

Billy is a 2-year-old vibrant delight. His big toothy grin and soft dimpled cheeks match his sweetheart personality and make every day brighter for those around him. He enjoys driving his tractor, singing the Wheels on the Bus, everything Toy Story related, fishing with Dad, snuggling with Mom, and chasing his big brother Freeman around.

Our mission with this fundraiser is to help Billy live his best little kid life and preserve his angelic spirit. We also hope to ease this hardship in any way we can for Ryann, Adam and Freeman along this difficult journey. Every donation will provide immediate support for them. Financial assistance will help cover out-of-pocket medical costs, travel to and from treatment, and other necessary expenses which will help them focus on what is most important; providing their little boy with love and comfort.

The love and compassion from everyone has already been uplifting and powerful. We are so grateful.

Please keep Billy in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

The Fournier, Gold and Stathopoulos Family

When the road looks rough ahead
And your miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
Just remember what your old pal said
Boy, You’ve got a friend in me
