Dear Friends and Community,

My name is Zubair Khan and I'm from Toronto, Ontario. I'm sharing this as an urgent appeal for help. As we all know the terrible conflict in Gaza has been raging for over a year now and has brutally destroyed the lives of millions of Palestinians.

There are a number of families who managed to escape, leaving everything behind and are now here in Toronto attempting to start their lives over despite having lost all their savings, properties and belongings. I am in direct contact with 2 of these families and have been doing my best to get them on their feet. I can tell you that these are some of the most humble, gracious and decent people I have ever met. I wish everyone could see the look of gratitude in their eyes for even the slightest help we have offered them - its very heartbreaking. There are little children among them as young as 5 and 8 years old.

Through the generosity of initial donors, we've managed to get them into humble apartments and provide some basic household items such as beds, clothing and cooking utensils but there is still so much more needed. Until they are able to find work and provide for themselves, they are in dire need of support to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, transportation and other needs.

Our goal is to reach $25,000+ to help these families with their immediate living expenses here in Toronto and relieve some of their financial burden until they can sustain themselves. This is the least we can do to help them after all they've suffered.

Your donation, even if its a small amount, makes a big difference and shows these beautiful people that they are both welcome and valued. All funds will be sent to these families directly for them to pay for their living expenses or will be used to purchase items that they specifically request, such as furniture, groceries, clothing, etc.
