From the Bottom of Our Hearts, Thank You ❤️ Sometimes it is hard to put into words just how much your kindness has meant to us. When we first began sharing the story of Children’s Rock Ministry, we hoped that maybe a few people would care enough to listen. We hoped that someone might share their story. We hoped that people would see these 18 children in rural Uganda and understand that behind every number is a child with a name, a story, a personality, and a future worth fighting for. What happened next was something we never could have imagined. People from all over began donating, sharing, praying, and telling others about these children. People who have never met Mike, Maria, or any of these 18 children decided that their lives mattered. And because of you, everything is beginning to change. Mike and Maria are overwhelmed by the generosity they have received. Maria is now in her 70s and has devoted so much of her life to caring for children who needed a home. Mike was raised in this very home as one of Maria’s adopted children, and today he works alongside her, helping care for the next generation of children who now call this place home. This ministry is not just a building. It is not just an orphanage. It is home. It is where children are loved. It is where they eat together, learn together, laugh together, and begin to believe that their future can be different from their past. Because of your generosity, we have made incredible progress. We have raised enough money to transfer the bank loan into Mike and Maria’s names. That is something that once felt so far away, and now it has become possible because people like you cared enough to help. We still have more work to do. We are continuing to raise the remaining $5500 needed to fully pay off the home. There will always be the everyday expenses of caring for 18 growing children—food, clothing, education, medical care, and everything else that comes with raising a family. But something has changed. They are no longer facing every need alone. Your donations have created breathing room. Your generosity has given them hope. Your shares have introduced their story to people they never would have reached otherwise. And even if you haven’t donated, please know that simply taking the time to read their story, share it, pray for them, or tell someone else about them means more than you may ever realize. This has never just been about reaching a fundraising number. It is about helping build stability. It is about giving these children a safe place to call home. It is about helping Children’s Rock Ministry move toward becoming more self-sustaining so that they can spend less time wondering how they will survive tomorrow and more time building a future for the children they love. And one day, we hope that this ministry will be strong enough not only to care for the children living there but also to reach beyond its walls and positively impact the surrounding community.
