Help 18 Orphans Thrive at Raise Children's Home

Hello, my name is Jane and I am from South Africa. I have been living in the United States since I was 12. I have a passion for helping orphaned children in Africa, which sadly is a far too common occurrence. I founded Raise Children's Home after coming in contact with Ali Bryn in Uganda, who has taken in 18 orphans since 2023. We have made many strides in getting donations, and Bryn managed to use funds previously raised to build a small home to house the orphans. We now have 3 caretakers on the property and have managed to send the children to school for the first time. We have about 5 regular donors; however, every month we struggle to collect enough money to cover basic living costs such as food, medical care, and school fees. Basic costs for 18 children and 3 caretakers are around $2000 per month. This only includes food, education, housing expenses, and a medical fund which we keep as reserves in case of emergencies.

Our goal is to raise $30k for the year. These children deserve to know people do care and that we love them and want them to have a better life and brighter future. These funds will be managed by me and disbursed each month to cover the necessary expenses. I am in the process of creating a 501c3 and hope to have this completed by the end of April, which will make all donations 100% tax-deductible. Any extra funds will be held for upcoming needs outside of ordinary monthly needs such as clothing and housing items to improve living conditions and quality of life for the kids.
