Help 16month old Jayamadhav to get heart surgery

This gofundme has been set up for our dear family friend's son Master Sri Jayamadhav Kuchibhotla (16-month-old boy).

 

Please take the time to read Jayamadhav's story, and consider helping.

 

Unfortunately, Jayamadhav has struggled with heart-related health issues since his birth.

 

Jayamadhav has undergone many doctor visits, specialists, and dozens of diagnostic tests, along with numerous hospital visits over the last 16 months - since his birth.

 

Jayamadhav was diagnosed with Atrioventricular Canal (AVC) defect. Despite several alternate treatments, his issues have not been resolved. Jayamadhav kept losing weight and he is having difficulty walking now. Open-heart surgery is required to repair AVC + valvotomy.

 

This heart condition, if left untreated, is fatal.

 

After seeing senior specialists in many hospitals to get a second opinion, they all said heart surgery is inevitable. On 5th May 2022 Jayamadhav's parents had a consultation with the surgical team, where they confirmed he needs life-saving surgery. This is not something Jayamadhav can live with any longer.

 

He has no choice, but to admit on May 14th at the hospital. Doctors have scheduled him for open heart surgery on 16th May.

 

This has not given Jayamadhav's parents much time to make arrangements and get things in order.

Jayamadhav's parents do not have health insurance. We are asking for help to cover the expenses with pre-surgery checkup bills, surgery bills, post-surgery hospital visits, and other related medical expenses.

 

This is a stressful time for the family. It's all happened so fast. Jayamadhav's parents are stressed financially due to Covid for the last 2 years, with hospital bills for the last 16 months, and now the open-heart surgery expenses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jayamadhav's dad has been my Indian vocal classical music teacher for a long time. Aparna Kuchibhotla is the legal guardian, and she is also the mother of Jayamadhav. We are Jayamadhav's friends and family setting this up. Jayamadhav is primary to assure money is going directly to the cause.
