Help 17 yr old Christian rebuild his life
Hi...my name is Lisa and I am fundraising for 17 yr old Christian, his dad and Max (the service dog). I met them at Eva's Village in Paterson and their story tugged at my heart. Dad is permanently disabled (so he can't make money on the books). they lost their home during COVID, mom had passed away and so they moved from Albany to find a better life in NJ. Dad is desperately trying for a Section 8 but the vouchers are closed. Their utilities are disconnected. Fresh Start (PSEG), LIHEAP/USF just reopened their applications 10/1. It takes 2 months to hear if you are accepted. i help supplement their food weekly and have become an approved advocate for Christian in Clifton High School. Every Friday I sit with dad and we apply everywhere for assistance. No one has any funding right now (Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Lifeline). Won't you please help? They just need a new start...and I will be with them every step of the way. Peace
